Introducing Allie Kaelin, AMFT, APCC

I am delighted to introduce the newest addition to the Cultivate Therapy Group team, Allie Kaelin! Allie joins Cultivate Therapy Group as an associate therapist under the supervision of Mackenzie Sodestrom. Allie has spent the last few years working with teens and young adults seeking therapy in the greater Tri-Valley area, particularly in San Ramon, Danville, Dublin and Pleasanton.

She loves to work with motivated teenagers who are eager to learn more about their emotions, how to cope with big feelings, and teach effective strategies for navigating the natural difficulties of teenage life, like social media, comparison, anxiety, and relationship issues. Allie loves to work with young adult women figuring out the inherently weird decade of how to be a 20-something, especially where anxiety, self-esteem and relationship issues overlap. She is the most energized after a session where a client is realizing how much they have grown in therapy, realizing their rights to take up space in a healthy relationship, and finding joy and hope again for the future. Allie would love to expand her practice to include focus on therapy for adoption issues and integrating animal assisted therapy.

Allie has a lovely balance of being both warm and direct in therapy. Taking the first step to start therapy can be nerve wracking, we get it, and Allie takes your trust seriously. She’s easy to connect with and quick to laugh, she’ll help you feel at ease being yourself in the counseling room. She’ll give you plenty of space to share whatever you want to share, nothing is off limits, but is not afraid to say a hard thing when needed or give direct feedback. She won’t beat around the bush or just nod throughout the session without practical guidance and psychoeducation. She’s eager to teach you effective tools and help you feel empowered to build a life that feels more at ease.

Outside of the therapy room, Allie enjoys spending time with family and friends, is a huge animal lover, and enjoys playing guitar. She’s excited to continue her therapy services in Dublin with Cultivate Therapy Group.

If you’d like to work with Allie to find effective ways to cope through anxiety or therapy for relationship issues for young adults for therapy in Dublin, CA, reach out to schedule your free 15 minute consultation call with her here. You won’t regret it!
